Aqua Bound Edge Carbon

For open canoe paddlers and C1 whitewater boaters who need maximum power and a paddle that can take a hit, the Aqua-Bound Edge Carbon is built for exactly that kind of work.

The abX carbon reinforced nylon blade is large at 129 sq. in., with a curved face that loads up quickly and drives serious amounts of water on every stroke. That kind of blade area gives you the power to punch through hydraulics, execute strong braces, and move a loaded canoe with authority in current. The carbon reinforcement keeps the blade stiff under load, so the power you put in actually transfers to the boat.

The lightweight carbon shaft is ovalized for a comfortable, secure grip, and the low swing weight makes quick, reactive strokes easier in technical water. The Ultimate T-grip rounds out the package with a comfortable, controlled top hand hold that reduces fatigue during long whitewater days on Canadian rivers.

  • Shaft material: lightweight carbon, ovalized
  • Blade material: abX carbon reinforced nylon
  • Blade size: 8 x 19 in. (20 x 48 cm)
  • Blade surface area: 129 sq. in. (832 sq. cm)
  • Weight: 26.5 oz. (751 g)
  • Grip: Ultimate T-grip
  • Curved blade face for increased power
  • Suited for open canoe and C1 whitewater paddling
