Cherokee Foothills Visitor Center at Table Rock State Park

Earth Design was selected by South Carolina Parks Recreations and Tourism (SCPRT) to design landscape for the Cherokee Foothills Visitors Center. The facility located along Table Rock lake offered an opportunity to develop landscapes that were reflect of the mountain heritage and to the plant communities of Pickens County. Earth Design designed helped implement a riparian buffer to protect the shoreline and improve water quality in the lake and plantings around the visitor’s center and entry road. The landscape is 18 years in the making and still provides beauty, stability, and educational values to all that work and visit the facility.
